Deceptive and misleading practices. Placed bets on Trump to be next president. Paid out on Biden early when there was no result. Many states have contested electors and Pence has made clear he is going to throw these out on Nov 3rd. There's no way this should have been called without an official result and I will be part of a class action lawsuit to seek a fair outcome. I will not use Betfair again or recommend due to their misleading, deceptive and unfair practices.

I opened an account, using a guaranteed refund on a £20 bet if you lose. I lost, they did not refund, I opened a paypal case to claim back my money they stole by not honouring their own deal. They then closed my account. I'm sure paypal will refund, but what a disgusting way to treat a new customer. Dreadful avoid them.

I have bet on the US 2020 election on Donald Trump as the winner ... but on 14.12.2020, Betfair itself has announced Biden winning after "fake news" from the major media in the US ... as it has not been announced by the US government yet. I think Betfair should wait until 20.01.2021, when there is a clear official statement on who the next president of the United States will be. If Betfair does not withdraw this decision, it will harm your business in the future

OK. First and foremost, you id*ots voting on the US election lost your bets - deal with it. So you can't criticise betfair for that. However, after using Betfair for about 5 months for my lay bets and depositing well over £1000 I was majorly let down yesterday. I layed the Saturday ACCA at £50 for a £3 or so profit off Sky (I've seen Betfair actively encourage matched betting before anyone gets on their high horse about it - no need to stick up for the bookies). The cash out value on Sky was double what I put on after about 15 mins into the games so I thought I'll cash out of everything now. For some reason Betfair didn't give me any sort of cash out/trade out option for this one, so I backed the ACCA for around the same amount I layed it, which should have cancelled out my lay bet and returned my stake. Apparently not. Even after everything was settled I was left with £14 out of £65. Although the profit on the back bet was supposed to be £116 - £70 or the lay £70 - £53. So I should've ended up with either £46 or £23. But I ended up with nothing. Leaving me £20 out of pocket in total. Betfair can't do simple calculations correctly. In future I will only use Smarkets, as they have a clear and simple trade out option and pay winnings instantly, not a week and a half later like Betfair.

Betfair assured me that they would not call the USA presidential lawsuit until all legal disputes were cleared up. Believing that they would do what they said, I put another large amount of bets on Trump. Betfair deliberately misled punters and cancelled all our bets paying out Biden backers early, effectively stealing all our funds. After further investigation, it seems that Betfair has ties to some shady people involved with Scytl and the Clintons. If you are going to bet and want peace of mind, go elsewhere.

I used a sign up promo code to get a refund on a US election bet. I did not get a refund as apparently I didn't place it in the right section which was not clear. This is clearly a way of scamming people using small print.

Absolutely disgusted how this company has just decided to change the bet to winner of the electoral college instead of the next president 20/20 WTH How in the hell can they close this bet when it hasn’t even been legally fricken decided yet. It’s still going through courts and if Trump does actually win and become the 20/20 American president and you placed your bet on him well sorry you have lost all your money. Listen up Betunfair if I wanted to bet on who won the electoral college bet than I would have had the option to do so on your site but I did not want to bet on that and only wanted to bet on the next American president 20/20.FULLSTOP It’s as plain as day on your site back trump to win or not. Have you lost your minds ? What are you thinking ? Have you all gone mad ? You have lost the plot ? Do you know what I’m betting on now ? I bet that after January 20th 2021 there is going to be the biggest class action case in the world’s history against Betfair and the honest Betters. Good luck Betfair

Totally disgusted. Horrific experience. Their opposition in Sportsbet despite paying out early on Biden have declared if Trump wins they will honour that bet. Do not EVER trust this corrupt company. You would have to be deaf dumb and blind to NOT know the US election is contentious and may even be declared null and void.. I will be personally suing Betfair for their unscrupulous behaviour.

I recently bet on Trump to be the next president, I was told on the phone it would be based on either a concession by Trump or ratification of the electoral college votes. Neither has happened yet, should Trump turn this around which is quite possible I am sure there will be a class action and I will be joining it.

Betfair are in clear breach of their own stated terms for the USA President "Next President" market. The bet was paid out contrary to their "expressly stated terms". There was to be "certainty" of the result, which requires the closure of outstanding litigation in various levels of the justice system, including the Supreme Court, and the expressly laid our process in the 12th Amendment of the USA Constitution. This is appalling, and must be remedied should the conclusion of this "Next President" result be determined in favor of Donald Trump.

US Election of Next President, It’s quite clear. And I placed my bet when I saw their clarification that they pay when results were beyond doubt. We’re talking about a £billion scam. I don’t think we can do anything in England, as gambling debts are not legally enforceable, but I sure would join a a CLASS ACTION LAW suit in the states.

I placed a bet on the 2020 US Presidential election and this election is in its DUE PROCESS meaning that the outcome is NOT called yet. Betfair obscured from the bet proposition that it would settle the market on the candidate that had the most projected Electoral College votes... SCAM SCAM SCAM!

One star is generous!!!!!!!! I feel totally outraged and conned by their handling of the US Election. They have manipulated, lied to, and stolen from their customers. Not just a little bit of theft here, we are talking big big BIG bucks and they CANNOT get away with it! The bet was for the NEXT PRESIDENT, plain and simple Betfair! Your service team misadvised customers to encourage them to keep their bets in play and place more bets, you are trying to get out of this with the small print but it's a contradictory load of rubbish which changed throughout. There are sooooo many more totally immoral and ILLEGAL things you have done which i could mention but the list is too long. Total fraud and corruption. There is more than meets the eye here and you will not get away with it. NEVER BET WITH BETFAIR!

Do not use this SCAM platform. I put a lot of money in the US Presidential Market on Trump. Betfair has decided to close the market early and pay out the "Projected" winner and not wait to hear who the "Actual" winner is. They mentioned they would take into account pending Legal Action, but they have ignored their own statement. Legitimate Betting platforms like Sportsbet have paid out for Biden as the projected winner, but clearly stated that if Trump goes on to win they will pay out those who backed Trump. I have lodged a complaint with the regulator NTRC in Australia.

What a bunch of thieves. I had a sizable bet on Trump to win US election. These crooks settled the bet on the electoral college votes. Before the Senate had officially counted and ratified the votes on Jan 6th or before any legal action had played out. This is a scam outfit, that makes up its own rules to suit.

Put money on “next US president market “ backed Donald Trump at high odds. No president has been selected and all of the sudden all bets are cancelled (loss) betfair claim that the bet was for “most projected electoral votes”. When clearly I bet on the “ next us president” not only has Biden NOT won the most electoral college votes but no president has actually been selected. This is both unethical and illegal and will be lodging complaints with governing bodies and ACCC our money was essentially stolen. Do not bet with betfair !!!

I always trusted Betfair but have been bitterly disappointed to see that they are settling (closing) a bet in the "Next President 2020" election market before the final result is absolutely certain. It's like closing a soccer match after 90 minutes although there is an overtime with another five minutes still to play. Even if a team is leading, there is still a possibility of another outcome and the result is NOT fix. So this is an absolute no go and after this experience I can only recommend to stay away from Betfair if you are interested in really fair bets.

Hi opened an account and withdrew £140 back to Apple Pay. After 4 days had not received any refund so I contacted support. They told me it would be in my bank the next day. Today I found out that my withdrawals had been cancelled. No money in Apple Pay account or betfair account either, it’s disappeared. Customer service said that payment department would email me, still nothing. I’ll update if things change but don’t hold out much hope.

Horrible site, STAY AWAY, the blackjack is so rigged. You get 20 against a 2, they pull 6 cards for a 21 and you lose. The dealer is always showing a Ten and 75% of the time they have 20. When you hit your 16 you get a ten, when the dealer hits they get just the card needed to win. Do not waste your money!!!! I can’t post pictures or videos on their facebook but have screen video’s of this horrible site stealing hands.

All slot games should be avoided at this time...I'm a regular and have been for 10 years on various sites never complained til not it's not just betfair it's all of them. Theyve stopped paying out...can do over 150 spins til you land a bonus which isnt normal, this is on most games esp megaways. Something has changed this year they have got much worse. Avoid all.

Waited until the moment I made a deposit, then suspended account asking for verification. Sent the documents straight away, thinking my account will be reactivated quite shortly. Unfortunately that is not the case as it has been more than 72h since then. Customer support is nearly none existent. Apparently my verification has been given a 'priority' to get resolved, but again, it has been 10h and nothing happened. Total disaster. Find a better casino to give your hard earned cash away.
