Betdaq news

frequently asked questions

What are Under/Over markets?

The Under/Over market allows you to bet on whether the number of goals or points in a match will be above or below the given number. In football matches the standard number of goals is 2.5 so if you back ‘Over’ in this market you need there to be three goals or more to win. If you back ‘Under’ you are looking for no more than two goals.

1/1.5 Under Over

Bet Over 1/1.5 Goals and you win at your matched price if there are 2 or more goals scored in the match. If there is 1 goal scored in the match half your stake is lost and half your stake is returned.

Bet Under 1/1.5 Goals and you win at your matched price if there are no goals in the match. If there is 1 goal scored in the match half your stake is returned and the other half is multiplied by your matched price.

What does match odds mean?

Match Odds is the most popular and common bet type you are likely to come across. There will be the option to back or lay any of the possible outcomes in a match, whether that be one team or player or another to win or the match to be tied.

This market, in a football context, is sometimes referred to as 1X2.

When it applies to Golf it is generally applied to the player’s respective performances over the duration of the tournament.

3. What is Exchange Starting Price (XSP)?

On selected markets where the XSP icon is displayed, Betdaq gives customers the option to place bets that are not otherwise matched on the exchange at an Exchange Starting Price (XSP). Betdaq will calculate and display the XSP when an event is being turned in play or completed (if not turning in-play). Customers can select to have any unmatched back or lay bet matched at the XSP when it is calculated.

Why can't I lay on a Fixed Odds market?

On markets with little exchange interest we have decided to offer Fixed Odds markets. This will guarantee prices and liquidity for these less popular markets though this is at the expense of a Lay option in these circumstances.

What payment methods do BETDAQ accept?

They currently accept the following payment methods:

• UK & Irish Issued Debit Cards, including Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit & Visa Electron (0% Charges)
• VISA & MasterCard* Credit Cards (1.5% Charge on all deposits)
• Skrill / MoneyBookers / Skrill & NETeller (0% Charges**)
• Paypal 2% Charge on all deposits.

Bank Transfers and Cheques* are alternative methods of deposit.

What is P&L net of commission?

The profit and loss figures in a market do not include any deduction for commission payable. This feature allows you to display your P&L figures for the market, less any commission payable, so you can see your actual winnings on the market should the bet win. (All commission quoted is the Normal Commission Rate).

What does At the Off mean?

The term At the Off is used to designate the start of the event. Operationally we will turn the market In Running at this point if we are offering betting In Running. Alternatively at this stage we will suspend the market and wait for the event to finish.

From a betting perspective we will offer the customer up to 3 options At the off: Cancel, Keep and Take XSP. Which one to set as your default can be selected in the My Preferences section.

What does At the Off – Cancel mean?
At the Off – Cancel means any unmatched portion of your bet will be cancelled when a market goes In Running.

What does At the Off – Keep mean?
At the Off – Keep means any unmatched portion of your bet will remain available for matching when a market is turned In Running. This option will only be available in markets that we offer In Running.

What does At the Off – Take XSP mean?
At the Off Take XSP means any unmatched portion of your bet will be matched at XSP when the market goes In Running. This option will only be available in markets that we are offering XSP.

What is the Live bets Panel?

The Live Bets Panel alerts you to how your bets are being matched, freeing you to work in other areas of the exchange without ever losing touch with how the market is moving.

The panel is located directly at the very bottom of the site and can be sized to show as few or as many of your live bets as you want to see. It enables you to swiftly change both the odds and the amounts of your bets or indeed to cancel them altogether so you can keep ahead of the market.

How long do withdrawals take?

All withdrawals are subject to standard security checks and can take up to 24 hours to be processed. This is in addition to the standard processing times above.

Please note you may be asked to supply proof of identity and

Betdaq betting experience

Odds format & betting margin

Decimal As a betting exchange you will only see decimal odds available. The reason for this is that an exchange is exactly that. It is like a normal stock exchange where prices move in something called ticks (or 1/100ths) These ticks allow for both backers and layers to trade. It also provides more competition for people wishing to back at a price or lay at a price.

Betting limits

As a betting exchange Betdaq does not have any limits on winnings. You are only limited by the liquidity of a market. If their are enough layers you can win as much as possible.

Types of bets

Of course Betdaq has a main focus on trading and exchange peer to peer betting. they also have multiples betting on selected sports and pool betting on football.

Sport coverage

As an exchange, the number of sports offered is more limited due to the nature of exchange betting. They currently have 16 different sports to bet on.

In-play experience

Betdaq of course offer in-play and live betting being an exchange. Here you are betting against other punters, also known as “peer to peer” betting. You can either be the bookmaker (lay a price) or the punter (back a price) Odds are offered on all sports, with horse racing being one of the most common sports for in running betting.

Live streaming is available on Betdaq and the minimum stake to watch an event/horse race is £5
