Arsenal finally managed to step out of their gloomy stretch of four consecutive losses in their 2-0 win over AC Milan in the Europa league at San Siro. This was a much needed relief with negativity piling up around the Emirate with fans increasingly becoming frustrated with Arsenal’s momentous decline.
Arsenal return to Premier League action with a match against Watford. Earlier on in the season, Watford had shocked Arsenal coming back from a 1-0 down to win. The defeat was more miserable after Watford striker Troy Deeney accused the Arsenal sides of “lacking cojones” to fight. At present Arsenal looks far off the Champions league spots with a voluptuous 13 points separating them from fourth place.
Champions league qualification is almost practically dead and forgone save from an Europa backdoor. Arsenal would be able to consolidate on their Thursday victory against AC Milan by collecting more three points against Watford.
Aubameyang is yet to lock in and bring the goals he was bought for. This is rather surprising considering he is a proven goal machine and merciless predator at the highest level. Mhikitarian is slowly clicking in and blending into the team. Already registering some tasty assists, his marriage with Ozil on the pitch speaks of a more glowing promise.
