Aston Villa has entered into a mega partnership with Unibet. This endorses Unibet as the club’s Principal Partner of Aston Villa Football Club. This sponsorship deal also sees Unibet doubling up as the Club’s official shirt partner from the start of the 2017-18 season. This move comes as the club strives to return to the prime of English football.
Aside from Unibet adorning the front kit of the club, details of this deal includes Unibet crested on the front of the team shirts of Aston Villa Ladies. Unibet as we know it is one of the famous bookmakers belonging to the Kindred Group.
Excitement was splashed all over Luke Organ, Chief Commercial Officer for Aston Villa when he announced the deal, revealing that it is with pride that Aston Villa enters the deal with Unibet. Luke Organ went on to assure that the deal was totally not for commercial intents but majorly built around the fans of the club and giving them ultimate satisfaction. According to “Unibet made it clear from the outset how important our fans will be to this partnership and their planned level of emphasis that they will put on our fans will be exciting to see come to life. The Club’s size is reflected by this relationship with Unibet and we look forward to testing our data and digital abilities to drive value and provide a rounded partnership for us all to enjoy.”
Such delight at the deal was corroborated by the Head of Marketing UK for Unibet, Sam Mead. Sam noted the relish of Unibet in becoming a major participant in the push to restore Aston Villa to its ancestral glory and place in the English Premier League. According to Sam Mead, “Unibet and Aston Villa are two of the biggest names in our respective fields with a rich heritage; Unibet genuinely understand football fans and, working together with Aston Villa, will be ensuring we enhance the enjoyment of their fans in all aspects of the beautiful game. The ceremony got more flamboyant as at launch the new kit, Unibet gave excited Aston Villa fans the honorable opportunity to be the first to play on the new kit. 20 supporters joined by some big names like Dean Saunders, Emile Heskey, Stiliyan Petrov and Dion Dublin, stormed the pitch in a memorable five-a-side competition made of four teams. Emile Heskey’s team won the fun-splashed tournament at the end of the day.
Congrats to Aston Villa in their drive to climb up the soccer stairs back to the Premiership. We here can only wish that this partnership leads to success and competitive premier league returning back to the famous Villa Park, the club’ official stadium.
