Closed an account with 888 2yr ago now all of a sudden I can’t use Willy Hill account which I had for many yrs .Seems 888 bought WH now closed account applies to WH .I never closed my WH account and never would have it’s ridiculous what’s happening at the moment!!!👎👎

Hope this review helps at least 1 person.I used to be in William Hill shops most days on the machines and sometimes online slots/casino etc.Thankfully i found the strength/sense to stop and haven’t given them another penny since , and so can you !!Of course all the games are fixed in their favour , these programmes that run the software for the games are designed by William Hill and the Software providers so of course it’s very easy to turn the dial to their favour , that’s why we all lose. Do NOT open an account with this disgrace of a company. You will NOT get any money you win into your account. Never used any of the casino type games, simply standard bets on football or racing. I had not used the account for a while so THEY emailed me to remind me of my positive balance. I try to login to use this balance and my account is closed! Contacted on help and even though they totally agreed that the money in the account is mine they still would not unfreeze the account. At first I didn’t want to withdraw the money just to have another bet but then I just wanted what was mine. Then they want pictures of me and pictures of documents (not just one – a LONG list). Might have been worth the hassle and time, and it would have taken a LOT of time, for a shedful of money but we are only talking about £8 here! Yes, EIGHT POUND! I have my logon ID and my password, they agree the money is rightfully mine BUT I cannot have it unless I jump through hoops. Lookign through recent reviews I am not alone in this experience. Was fine until I won money, not even a lot, £105 but they make that impossible to withdraw. Asking for documentation I don’t even have. Deposits 1k and on my records when I’m paying I only lose 400 which still left me 600 left but then suddenly it all gone. Placed a bet last year around November 2022.the bet was 16/1& 20/1. 2 x £5 ew singles & a £5 ew double. Lucky for me both selections won. So I had a good return on my investment. Went to the counter to collect my winnings and the manager said I can’t pay you till the next day, which I had to accept. But I said next time I place a bet can I for example put a bet on Friday and come in the next day and give you the money. Obviously not the manager replied. But I said it’s OK for you to do it to me tho. I’m telling you now guys if you want to put a decent bet on in a high St shop and you get lucky and hit a good return 9times out of ten you will probably asked to come back the next day. This company is an absolute disgrace. I went into the Harrow branch this morning to pick up a legitimate winning bet, and was told there was an issue with the bet.I was told to email their customer service with a photo of the winning slip and was then told I had to send a photo of myself to them.They also stated I had an online account, which I’ve never had and definitely a million per cent would never have with these people.I pay for all my bets with either cash or by card.So now I’m waiting for someone called Alex to get back to me.If I don’t hear from them today, I shall be getting my solicitor onto the case on Monday morning, and I will be making a compensation claim, plus my solicitor’s fees.Please please please, do not bet with this company, bet with any other bookmakers except this one.I can understand now why William hill high street betting shops are shutting down by the dozens.Hopefully their become extinct soon after their disgraceful behaviour this morning.
