William Hill PLAYER REVIEWS(3728)

Comment from uk.trustpilot.com
So I recently received an email addressed to a 'Michael' that my new account from December, at William Hill Vegas has had a promotions ban for no apparent reason. (even though my name is Samantha) I would like a viable reason for this ban as I have deposited as much as I have won and I have only used the bonus drop promotion which is offered to every other player. But me, now, it seems. I think this is unfair and bad customer service practice as I have not won anything substantial enough for this ban. I have also deposited almost as much as I have won. I never even got to use my sign up bonus promotion before the ban. I have also not received any confirmation about what I have done wrong to implement this ban. Personally, I have never upset any other sites and I haven't done anything wrong to receive this ban. It feels like they initially banned a Michael and then sent me an email saying 'sorry about the name change' but our previous email stands. It feels like they have picked my name out of a hat. So for any new players out there do not use their bonus drop promotions as they will ban you and not give you a reasonable explanation as to why. The only explanation you will receive is managements decision is final and remains. It is ridiculous behaviour from a company and it proves to me that all these reviews, are in fact, correct. They make consumers feel like criminals even though you haven't done anything wrong. So as I didn't win anything big... Be very careful if you do as a promotion ban or account ban may be on its way to you!

Also the tennis bets are a joke, no common sense is used, only bet site i know that voids a bet when a player is 2 sets up, winning in 3rd set and other player retires...virtual racing is the biggest con too, win ration 5/100...

William hill wow . Ok when i first joined william hill it was ok i was winning a little and getting good slots game play 2 years down the line and the is no joys of any winnings and playing the slots is just like watching paint dry . I complained to william hill as i am playing high rtp slots all the time and the same slot machine on a daily basis to nothing at all ok it is called gambling but at 96.3 rtp you would think it would give a little , william said out slots are fully tested and work fine . yeah right as if i belive this . Instead they told me i jad a gambling addiction and give me a link for help. Omg i was so annoyed with them. And this was only for saying that the slot machine i am playing every day is fake it is a total rip of a con on how it can be 96.3 rtp iv put hundreds into it at different times of day to no bonuses and no wins , i just find this strange as i said when i first joined it was good . I do believe that william hill like to entrap you by giving you a nice win when you join them and then just give you nothing making you deposit more and more untill they get back plus lots more in funds , they give me a Time out for 3 days and when i returned it was even more worst than before . My advice is stay away from william hill at all cost dont spend a penny here and let them go bankrupt. The is much better and trusted sites out there than william hill . Take a good look at how many shops william hill have closed down and they did say we expect to do the same in proffit this year with all them shops closed . And we all kbow gow they will try and achieve this it is quite simple they will take more of you in any digital games they have like slots etc

Ever since i closed account temporarily then reopened (reason i closed was i put bad offers), the daily drop promo has given me 10 days consecutively of no win..Their in play bets are a con, delaying on purpose and any accumulator actioned, if more than 2 selections, they automatically add a function of doubles and trebles so more bets are actioned against the users wish, their reply is check your bets..but on a mobile you have to scroll down the bottom thus losing time on prices...no other bet site does this..

FURY V WILDER 2 . I’m not a sore looser or am I a gambler In fact this was my first and only bet on any event in my 52 years ! I saw an add for the fury wilder 2 fight at 30/1 odds so I thought I will have a go at that so went to William hill site & signed up placed my £1 bet at 30/1 which HILL took . Having watched the fight & watched FURY win I thought that’s nice £30 win on my first ever bet 🎉 but unfortunately that was not the case . Even though they took the bet and it showed it was taken apparently I had to enter a discount code 🤷♂️So they took the bet with no mention of entering a code and after the fight it say the bet was VIOD for not entering the code . Should it not have said YOU MUST ENTER THE CODE BEFORE THE BET IS TAKEN ? Anyway it’s made me realise that it’s better not to gamble at all especially with these scammers .

Tried calling customer service owing to a fault with online site.. gave up after 20 mins on hold. I have a bet 365 account also, customer service with bet365 has always been 1st class. Not here to moan about win ratio as some others, i accept the risk on sign up, all I ask for is for a reasonable level or customer service when required. All my custom will will be with bet 365 from this day forward.

Got to say, over the years I have held numerous online accounts with bookmakers. When I feel my custom is being taken for granted and I am not receiving the rewards, free bets, etc. that are proportionate to my bets/stakes, I close my account and go elsewhere. My experience of WH is that they are the worst out there. If I bought a brand new car from a showroom and the salesman said I can’t give you any discount, nor an inflated price for your trade-in, but what I can do is give you a free furry dice, that is what WH have been like so far! It’s shocking. To think they’ll earn millions each year in profits, you’d think they’d care more about retaining their customers. When you contact customer service all they say is too look out for promotions ... blah blah blah. I’ll soon be taking my custom elsewhere

Total bulls**t. Signed up, had bonuses and wins everytime I played for the first few weeks, one of £600! It's been months since, with hundreds spent and not even had a win come anywhere near that figure. When a bonus or win does come in, their few and far between and barely give a tenner. Avoid William Hill, it's daylight robbery. Choose a different site to gamble on

William hill has got the resources to be very good they need to do a free bet club like all others they seem to be behind with most things. Offer all the footy accas u would want and more. Shame there again behind we non runner no bet for likes of Cheltenham. Plus cards a good feature if u want to deposit cash and withdraw cash from and to online. I win good and loose as u do we gambling. Withdrawal via PayPal from my experience are done in minutes so fast.

JOKE OF A SITE, first few days of signing up I got win after win and the bonus drop gave me a win every time. Its now been months since I have had a win!!! Had over 500 spins then finally got the second to top bonus it gave me 82.pence. Almost impossible to win and certainly not random, just like their shop machines. But they are WILLIAM HILL and above the law and we are just scumbag gamblers who make them rich and ourselves poor!!

their Vegas app glitched during a game of black jack and robbed me of £6. I tried to continue and made the same bet again, the same thing happened and stole a further £6. At this point I realised that there was a problem with the app I reported the issue to to customer support. Who kindly offered to return half the money they had stolen??? I have been going backwards and forwards all day and they are refusing to return the other £6. This company is dishonest and prepared to lose a customer just to keep their thieving sticky fingers on £6.

I struck a bet on the 6.15 at Chelmsford and they changed the terms retrospectively. When I placed it the non-runner had been removed but they were still going 1/5 the odds the first three. I later noticed this had changed on oddschecker to 1/4 the odds the first two and, sure enough, when I checked my own bet, the terms had changed; effectively welching. I’ll punish them severely, then close the account.

AVOID AVOID AVOID....... this company are liers I currently have a case open with second opinion team it's been around 5 weeks I havmt had one reply i can escalate it in 10 days to IBAS which h I will do. These disgusting people lied about sending me a email when I won a bit of money outlining my options and not gambling it all away again as they have a reasonablilty too I suffer with bipolar and personality disorder. There should be more checks done for people with mental health issues (please dont judge) I asked I asked to be sanctioned and that did NOT happen. Then they closed my account which I am happy about, but when I went onto live chat for a update they wanted to open my account again. They told me they sent me a email to congratulate me.on my win but my mailbox was full when I went back to look at the date they stated they sent this to me not o my on my win but obviously safe gambling I had recieved emails from other companies I. I asked for a.copy of this so called email which they sent, in the email there waant the fugyre I won either, or nothing. They seem to be trying to cover their backs I think they were not abiding to gambling regulations and let me deposit alot of money in the space.of 12 hours sometimes it was £800 then literally 2 minutes later I would put.another £800 and more. Has anybody ever received a email when you have won something big on william hill. Thank you for.reading.this it's hard when you suffer with mental but i have sanctioned myself on all sites now. I need anybody else.who has had a similar story like mine please contact me. I have emailed the second opinion team I would.say 30 times in 5 weeks asking.for evidence of the email that had actual6gone.back to there mail box but nothing so far. The company locked the account after I asked to cancel one of my bet's (12h before the game). Their policy states that I should be able to cancel bet's myself by so called "cash in" feature. However, because I placed a bigger amount they instantly removed the option to "cash in". When I contacted them and asked that I placed the bet in an emotional state, and after I realised I better not be placing it, I asked to void it. They voided my bet, but in around 10min they blocked my account and now they don't respond to my concerns. I have no reason to leave money with this company and will be contacting IBAS, but for the future games please stay away from them as they don't follow their own policy.

I've made a deposit 31.12.2019., just because (first scam) they were advertising a 40 pounds deposit bonus. After the deposit was successful, I was looking for my bonus, and customer service told me that I can't get that bonus (???), can't provide any reasons why. Half an hour later I've done a withdrawal. Haven't played any games. It said it will take 3-5 business days to receive it. One week later I've contacted customer service. Where's my money? They told me they can't complete the withdrawal as my account isn't verified (if I wouldn't contact them, they would just keep my money). I've sent my passport, and utility bill. One week later my money still nowhere. Then they said they still can't complete the withdrawal, as the card I've made the deposit with is not under my name. 1. they haven't mentioned anything about this first time 2. they didn't care about this when I've made the deposit (of course) 3. in the case I would steal that card, how would it be better for that person - if I withdraw the money I've stolen to it's card, or if WH keeps it? Then they said to finish the withdrawal, they have to verify me with my documents. 1. why is it related to that I've used a card which is not under my name? 2. it's been done first time I assumed More than one months passed. My money is still nowhere. Since then I've contacted customer service 3 times, sent my documents 4 times, sent 4 different utility bills, spent more than 6 hours struggling with them. They just simply expecting you to just pay money in, and not prepared to pay you out. If you make the huge mistake after reading this that you make a deposit, you'll meet silly (almost funny) excuses, very unprofessional customer service, and rubbish development result (the software architecture is terrible, mirroring the company itself). You want to avoid from this.

I was also sent the so called mails. Disgusting service from them. Ok so they made a mistake. I did once on there site. Clicked on wrong horse. Contacted them to say could they amend my bet. Told no. You placed the bet. You have to go with it. So we can make a mistake and we have to honour it. They make one and don't have to honour it. Oh by the way the mistaken horse won. Picked a nice profit up. Thanks William hill for making me honour that bet.

great company they take the mick from beginning to end. After a shambolic series of mistakes while verifying my address, they offered me a bonus for five euros which can not be used. Within hours they sent me an email accusing to targeting bonuses (while I can not use the five euros bonus they gave me) and therefore scrapped every promotional offer on my account. Having asked to be put in touch with supervisor Ching I have since received 6 times the same standard email signed by Alvin, Matthew, Miss J, and every other clueless customer agent. Really really bad! I was a customer of William Hill both online and instore for many years, until recently...... I, (like apparently thousands of other people according to their customer service team) was sent an email offering a £10 free bet. I duly logged in and selected my sports bets and went to opt for my free bet to find it wasn’t there. I assumed that I had to maybe deposit money in order to activate it, but it still didn’t work. I ended up placing a bet with my deposit anyway thinking that this might activate the free bet (and luckily won the bet so this post is not a bad loser talking here). Once again there was still no bet. I checked my email account again to be surprised to have received another email from William Hill stating that there had been a mistake in sending me the free bet BUT to compensate me, they had sent me not only the original £10 free bet offer but an additional £5 one too! Wow I thought, that’s great! So I returned to the website to check and once again nothing was there. Happy to wait for my free bets I later checked my emails again to receive another one from William Hill saying that the whole thing had been a mistake and that I would get no free bets. Disappointed and disillusioned I phoned the customer service team in the hope that my years of being a valued customer would mean something and maybe they would listen, understand and resolve the situation, I had after all felt so strongly about it as to phone and make a complaint........ but no, I was advised that it was something that had happened to thousands of customers due to an error their end and that the last email was right and that I would get nothing. I explained that I had been a valued customer for many years and that generally if a company offer something in writing, they are legally (or at least morally) bound to uphold it despite the fact it was an error on their part. Again I was told, no. I realised by the advisors tone that there is no point in arguing the point any further so left the call knowing that I would never bet with William Hill again after the appalling customer service and breaking of promises. To top it off, I received a “how did we do” style email the following day. I basically explained my experience and that I was going to ladbrookes in future and guess what......... I was still ignored lol! My advice is........ please don’t use this company to bet, you are not valued and are ignored. I have also looked on Trustpilot and the number of bad reviews is incredible. We can’t all be wrong but with over 80% of reviews being as bad as it can be......I would advise avoiding William Hill.

ALL POKER SITES ARE RIGGED. … Let me explain why every single poker site out there is rigged. Imagine you hold a poker night in your home every week for you and 19 mates making 20 players call it a small tournament or sit and go, now of those 20 players 4 of them are very good players and 16 are recreational players or donks / fish !! I can guarantee that 9 weeks out of every 10 one of the 4 good players will win the tournament / sit and go because they are better players because they have applied skill and understanding of the game this is fact. So as the weeks and months go by what happens ? The 16 bad players slowly drop out one by one because they see the same 4 players winning every week, they drop out because they are wasting there time and money that’s fact as it’s human nature !! The poker sites apply the same theory they are not stupid. Let’s say hypothetically a poker site has 1 million customers and 10% of the players are of a high standard and 90% are donks / fish that equates to 900,000 bad players ! They are the overwhelming majority of the sites customer base, the poker site does not want these players to get bored to not win to stop depositing to stop playing so how does the poker site combat this potential problem ?? Simple they handicap each and every player based on how much they deposit the frequency of which they deposit if they are a winning player or losing player how much they win or lose how frequently they win or lose etc to put it in Lehman’s term if you are a good player your going to receive a mathematically impossible amount of bad beats to accommodate the bad players who receive a mathematically impossible amount of good beats to level the playing field thus keeping the majority (90%) of the customer base happy keeping them happy means they keep depositing which means the poker site drives more traffic and makes more rake. These poker sites don’t reward good players because they are the minority (10%) so when your sitting there as a good player wondering how you have lost your 24th flip on the bounce or you’ve just been runner runner’d or 3 outer’d for the 15th time in a day or rivered yet again just remember what I’ve said. You as a good player are designed to lose to keep the bad players (majority) happy because that’s more profitable for these disgusting low life scum bent warped atrocities called poker sites.

I received emails to state I will be receiving a £10.00 free bet then this was later revised to, £10.00 free bet plus an additional £5.00. I noticed this was not showing on my account, so after a long 25 minute plus wait on the phone, I was advised they know there is an issue and that they are attempting to resolve this and should receive an email later in regards to this. Received the new email to state I will not be getting my free bets and that this is an error. Although this was an error, this is still misleading and should be honoured. Let's see what Trading Standards will have to say about this.

I also received a free £15 bet from this website, I placed a bet and then noticed the money had been taken from my account, this was followed up with an email to the effect that the free bet was an human error and I would have to pay the bet. No worries, I contacted them and stated that as my bet was for a football match that had yet to be played, I requested that the bet be cancelled and the funds returned to my account, as this was a human error on my part, I do not expect this to be refunded, we will see. I also tried their live chat, waited for over an hour for a response, even though their average wait time was 20 minutes, still no response and still waiting at the time of writing this email. As far as I am concerned their offer of a free bet and then subsequent withdrawal of the offer, amounts to obtaining money by deception, which is totally immoral. I have told them this via email, will be interesting to see their response. Won’t hold my breath.

The service from these people at times is awful but their communications strategy and methods are absolutely dispicable. They commonly nudge the potential customer (potential problem gambler) with promotions and offers which are not actually available. They appear to purposefully contact the user to offer services and promotions that will not work but will attract the person to the website and require five minutes or more to establish the offer is not available or if they want to query the communication it may take 30 minutes or more depending and for the sake of a ridiculously small promotion value. Today they emailed me what seems like an insider joke meme stating: " We made a mistake! Have a £10 free bet and another £5 free bet later" only to email again 2 hours or more later using the same headline "We made a mistake" but this time only to request we disregard the last email and while they did indeed make a mistake "your time, efforts, and emotional state isn't worth a thing to us". They suck. I emailed to tell them all notifications and emails will now go straight to junk as thats what they are; and they respond with a query number. What a laugh. I signed a petition to support these people against further government regulations and now I see how foolish I was.

Had 3 emails today offering £15 worth of free bets, which failed to show up when I logged into the site. Then had another email saying the free bet offer was an error. Why was it sent? I will be withdrawing my remaining funds. Generally not impressed with William Hill online. The functionality of the website is dreadful. When I place bets they stay on the bet slip and I have to remove them even after settlement ....cash out frequently doesn't work....the site, especially the mobile app, is painfully slow....and there aren't any good offers. Plenty of other better online betting sites out there, some of which I already have accounts with. The fact that William Hill don't bother to respond to these reviews shows how little they value their customers.

Multiples emails promising free bets as a ploy to get you to login to your account (or just a very poor promotional team). After 30 unanswered minutes on their live chat and an ignored message to their Facebook page, customer service seems no where to be found. Hours after initial emails, a ‘sorry’ email came through with no recompense. Even without this mishap, there are far better online betting companies with better odds and promotions. I am now deleting my account.
