Betway: Sweet 4/11 On Offer For City To Defeat Local Rivals, United

30 September 2022

Another Manchester derby will take place in the Premier League on Sunday October 2nd when Manchester City and Manchester United square off at the Etihad Stadium.

After a shaky start to the season, Manchester United are now in fifth place in the Premier League standings. Confidence is high in the United camp after they won their last four Premier League matches. On the other hand, Manchester City are second in the league table after a strong start to the season. Before the international break, they brushed aside Wolves 3-0, so they will also be confident going into this match.

Since defeating Arsenal 3-1 at the beginning of September, United haven’t played a Premier League match. However, this has given manager Erik Ten Hag more time to work with his players in training. Stopping Erling Haaland, who has scored at least once in every Premier League game he has played so far, would undoubtedly be at the forefront of Ten Hag’s agenda.

Ten Hag seems to have found a perfect central defence pairing in Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, but City will surely be a tough test for them as their Norwegian striker will hope to continue troubling defenders.

City has scored a staggering 14 goals in just three Premier League home games so far this season, but their fixtures so far haven’t exactly been tough as they’ve played the three newly promoted sides already at the Etihad.

City are firm favourites with Betway to win at the Etihad for the fourth time this season, with a sweet 4/11 on offer, which makes sense given their form, but they will be wary of a United team that is flourishing under Erik ten Hag, and the Reds have triumphed on three of their past four trips to the Etihad
