Exciting odds for 2nd Brexit EU referendum

27 August 2019

The issue of the Brexit has been as acrimonious as it can be in the UK. The Brexit has again swallowed the government of Theresa May giving way to an enthusiastic and equally fiery Boris Johnson. Agreeably, the British vote to leave the EU bloc came as surprising as Trump’s 2017 election victory. The divorce between the UK and the EU will not be a smooth one. Failure to negotiate a deal between the EU and one accepted by the Parliament sent Theresa May packing from Downing Street. Talks of a 2nd Brexit referendum has been fast brewing.

The famous issue of the Irish Backstop is one of the most controversial flashpoints of any deal. Worse still, a leaked government report showed the fearful scenes awaiting the UK in the event of a no-deal breakout from the EU. Food and drug shortages are among the impending nightmare awaiting the UK if she pulls out from the EU with no deal.

With a 51-49% vote to leave the EU in the first place, many are already considering a 2nd Brexit referendum as it appears the UK and the EU are inextricably linked.

Now, are you expecting a 2nd Brexit referendum? Here are some delicious odds from your favorite bookmakers:

BoyleSports: 8/1 for second Brexit referendum
