Absolute waste of time …brilliant when your losing money…soon as you show a profit ask for ID bank statements and without any reason block your account…in running prices are severely cut as opposed to betfair …avoid at all cost

Iam trading on Betfair Platform Scince last 4yeare … Turnover Some millions$ on there and never had a problem with Betfair withdrawal are never been issues there this year i try matchbook and I trade some Bets Firstly i loose some 2k$ -3k$ and then i start winning some bets and Win over 5k my trade was in profit and then Yesterday i got email asking about EDD documents…. What the Hell man i just started playing here and they Ask me All my ecurrency and bank details , And they suspend my account with my 7000$ Lock in it , I still Not got any ans …. I just Don't understand Why they're Doing this ? This is Not an Exchange Behavior it seems More like Buki i Playing and turnover in millions in Betfair exchange and never they ask me This edd documents .. i still waiting For response till now no ans… Customer support is worst They are trying to run away With my 7000$ , But i will chase them I don't leave my money

So they decided to double their commission from 2% to 4%. I noticed this 1,5 months later when a friend informed me. I asked matchbook about it and they said they had a banner on their site for a week after they changed it. I use the app so I was unaware. Guess we have to check their site daily so they dont have a 100% commission some day. Should be illegal to change commission without a popup or similar notifying the customer that commission is changed and you have to accept before continuing.

They have also had downtime when all unmatched bets have been cancelled. And they do not notify regarding this either. So you have to keep a good eye on your bets.

I dont have a lot of experience with exchanges but I am switching to Smarkets instead. It seems overall better. Depositing money was easy so a plus to them for that. You can also start betting before the account is verified. That's both good and bad I guess. The verification process is a little slow. 2 days since I sent my documents and its still waiting.

The account is in dollars. I need an account in a different currency to avoid extra costs. Also a little hard to understand the odds sometimes.

I found a match where both lay and back odds where at 6. That must have been a technical glitch. It just didn't make sense. A few glitches here and there that I have noticed so it is not 100% reliable. You have to double check to make sure things is right. I trust them. I have been trough some scam sites. This one is not one of them. They are quite professional. I give them 3 stars because I expected more.

Worst exchange I've used. And is the only exchange I've ever used which has crashed multiple times, often at crucial moments and has also on multiple occasions shown odds back-to-front making the entire exchange unusable. It's a shame because the odds often beat rivals, notably Betfair.

The actual site is clunky and also sometimes it doesn't display your bet as matching so it can match it multiple times over which can be quite scary.

Matchbook fine for past 3 years but…….
lately, 9 out of 10 bets (lays) placed by me have immediately gone "unmatched" as the lay price ticks upward When I try to cancel the unmatched bet it turns out that a portion only has been matched as can be the case. My problem is the sudden onset of this high level of inconvenience. The frequency of this occurence is disconcerting. Have switched a lot of activity to Betdaq now. This "unmatched" phenomenon rarely occurs there or occurs at a reasonable frequency. Can only conjecture that my view of MB is not updating until I place the Lay… which is nonsensical. The frequency of a tick DRIFT is far higher than chance expectation. Very puzzling.

I signed up and deposited £100 with Matchbook.

I managed to win around a thousand, and tried to withdraw my cash.

Before I could withdraw Matchbook asked for a number of documents which I sent.

After successfully passing this verification, instead of paying me they asked for 3 months’ uncovered bank statements.

Not even the police can ask for banking documents – they have to convince a judge to give them a court order!

Matchbook are using ‘money laundering regulations’ as a way of not paying people. I deposited £100!

If you want to get paid your winnings, I suggest not betting with Matchbook.

The liquidity is absolutely atrocious and the customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. What's the point in low commission when there's no money in the markets!!!

I got in touch the company asking what my username was as I had forgotten it and what other ID I need to send and got an email about responsible gambling and how am i betting too much, avoiding chasing losses and how do I feel about my gambling levels. Has the responsible gaming officer got nothing better to do??

Since somebody wrote about paid for 5 star reviews I will give my review as someone who has accounts with all the exchanges.
The biggest problem people have is with the KYC (I.D. confirmation) process. It can be frustrating but Matchbook are no different to any other regulated gambling company in that they have to comply with the law. I switched to Matchbook not only for their lower commission but also because I got fed up with the many frustrating outages that Betfair frequently has. I have never had a problem with withdrawals except for when I needed to prove I.D. Matchbook is not as large as Betfair and it is very regrettable there is no horse racing or football streaming, especially when the likes of Skybet will allow you to watch free football streaming by just logging in. I am sure as Matchbook grows, live pictures will be something they will want to look into if they want to compete with Betfair. Bookies are no competition, their prices are set to rip any punter off long term but with Matchbook you will often get better prices than on offer elsewhere.
