I have had a william hill account for nearly 35 years. A year plus ago I could not access it online. was directed to their chat bot which kept resetting my password, still could not get in and gave up as we were just going around in circles. Tried phoning 0870 5181715, turned out to be an overseas help line and they are not authorized to help with this, he directed me back to the live chat function on their site. when I asked for another phone no he stated management had decided not to have phone numbers. Service is appalling, I just want my money back that I have in my account.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They are truly a despicable company. They closed my account and gave no valid reason but I presume it is because I won £80 from free spins. Not just shut off the free spins but closed the account. Whilst the £80 was still in it. In order to get my money I have to email a photo of myself holding ID, with a bank statement, and a piece of paper with my username. I am at uni so bank statements go half way across the country and I HAVE to be holding it – when the government website themself will accept a photo of the electronic email. Then apparently my ID wasn’t clear enough. Then other issues and other issues, making it vertically impossible to get my money.

Seems like Williamhill are in a restricted frenzy of late. No longer allowed to claim any promotions or play bonus drop. How dare I win 5 free spins worth 10p. Or get a free bet. And to put the cherry on top, they set depoist limits. All under the guise of safer betting. I mean I could understand if I was blown my monthly wages, but a few £2 accumulaters every weekend, during the football season is hardly breaking my back. They restrict accounts from promotions if your withdrawal to deposit ratio is in favour of you and not them. Tell me I can’t play the bonus drop and other promotions all in the name of safer gambling – Yet I can deposit as much as I’d like upto say £500. Which is ‘safer gambling’ ? It would appear that William Hill is not a trustworthy casino that honours its debts. They simply obstruct withdrawals when they lose under the pretence of account verification problems. It is somewhat sad that apparently they are happy to entice players with in-play bonuses, but then promptly refuse to pay them out if the player wins too many bonuses. Oh dear.. Once logged into my account, I was greeted with a promotion that stated that if I played through £50 stake, I would receive a 100 free spins. Guess what? This never materialised! I contacted ‘Luv’ via support, and she/he claimed that the bonus spins were credited, and it was case closed. I never got to play the 100 free spins, and I wasted time and money!Stay away from William Hill; they hook you in and chew you out! Terrible! Deposited and played, won and requested a withdrawal of £250 over a week ago. Was contacted for docs which I sent but there was a problem I had moved since opening the account so address differed! I explained and sent extra docs, spoke to live chat to be told its been escalated!A week on still no winnings, put in a complaint!! To then be told by a supervisor that I had received a email which I hadn’t I asked what the email said and the email information wasn’t even for my account when I queried the details in the email and said think there’s been a data breach as this email isn’t anything to do with my online account it was talking about someone losing their bag so couldn’t supply docs!! Also said following your complaint on 19th May well I didn’t request My withdrawal till 30th May so obviously date difference so clearly no for me!! When I queried this I was cut off live chat!! Appalling and wish I had read these reviews before using them. I don’t gamble very often at all (maybe once every year) but got a spam email from them saying join up and get a free bet. THEY EMAILED ME. I signed up and got a free bet as promised so all good but it turns out they don’t like you actually using the thing. I’ve just tried to login to DEPOSIT some money to make a bet on the Euros and seems I’ve been blacklisted. Got on to support who tell me “I don’t meet their high standards”. I dont do many reviews but been playing for some years history will state only back to 2008 and its a deffo different from the rest!! I signed up with WH a while ago, I deposited and played a few games of bingo then logged off. Next day I went to log on and was asked to provide ID, I did all they asked but got denied as one corner of the letter wasn’t visible and the driving licence was out of date, but I no longer drive.So tried again with more documents and still it wasn’t enough, I asked for my money back and they said log on to withdraw but how could I if I am denied?In the end I contacted Gambling commission and the guy there was on WH side I think he worked for them as well, he just said take it up with them not us.They still have my money which I’ve written it off as a loss now but avoid this company like the plague.Also it took my deposit and let me play without any ID when I first signed up, it was OK then but not when I logged on the second time.

Something has changed with the site. I deposit fiver every few weeks due to them changing my deposit limits to help with safer gambling lol. I put fiver on and won zero. I’m fed up of complaining about lack of wins the bingo I only enjoy for the chat but to be honest this site has really changed. I have to stake to get five free spins and usually are dead spins. I was self-excluded from William Hill online many years ago due to my mental health and gambling addiction. Despite this, when i tried to access my old account I was told by chat to open a new account as they cant find my details. I was able to make a new account with the same name, DOB, address, just a different email address… and deposit money and gamble. I was advised to request my deposited funds back by the GC which WH appear to be refusing to pay. This is highly concerning for problem gamblers like myself, not only are they allowing self-excluded players to place bets with them they appear to be encouraging it as the chat was fully aware I was self excluded. Only option is to take this further to ensure my deposited funds are returned and shine a light on their lack of safeguarding of the vulnerable.

They hate the months between the end of the football season until September. Low deposits. Their offers are a joke. Been with WH for years. I enjoy a few weekend bets as I’m disabled and don’t get out often. I recently lowered my weekly deposit amount. I now never win any free spins etc on the daily freebies. My account then was under review, their excuse was I needed to use gambling tools etc. My deposit limit is £10 a week (for the weekend). That really makes me look addicted, doesn’t it WH? Had my account for years and they have recently closed it stating ‘security checks had not passed criteria’ They asked for a photo of me holding my passport, which I sent. Then they replied saying it couldn’t be verified! I raised a complaint with them and they come back with the same reason…..the picture was very clear! Then they started asking for complies of bank statements and PayPal accounts, images were sent, once again they say they are unable to verify without giving any specific reasons despite me asking multiple times.This has been going on for weeks now.They are absolute scum and are refusing to transfer me my balance from the account.
