Difference between decimal and fractional odds. Decimal odds are quite straightforward to understand, all you need to do is take the decimal number, lets say 4.0, and deduct 1 which would give you odds of 3/1 or if the odds were 2.75 this would equate to 7/4 in fractional terms. Live streaming

SportPesa do not currently offer live streaming on their site.

The SportPesa website has only recently been changed. It was very old and not attractive at all. They have now integrated a much simpler design which has given the site a very fresh look.

When you reach the site now, you are met with a simple landing page with the main menu at the top and below that you have just two options and these are Sportsbook and Casino. It means your choice is made very simple and of course in this review we are looking at the sportsbook.

The interface itself is nice and clear with a lot of white space used in the main market section and on the left you have the menus using a blue and white colour scheme.

Their is an issue with the left hand menu as it does not show all sports at the top and these are actually below the fold which is not user friendly at all.

First you have “quick picks” then “live betting” and then “todays events” which means you cannot get to a sport quickly. You need to scroll down to find the list of sports. The other thing which is a negative is that the scroll bar on the left side of your screen is a light grey on a plain white background, this makes it very difficult to find the scroll bar with your mouse.

In terms of site speed we would say it is average, it certainly seemed to take a couple of seconds to load up the main sports betting page.

Outside of the main betting content they also run a blog but when we checked this only had posts about Football which of course will not appeal to everybody.

The odds offer at SportPesa is reasonably competitive on football. SportPesa are involved in the sponsorship of a number of teams and this is where their core strength lies with a margin which tends to be in the range of 4.3 – 4.5%

Betting on other sports is not as good with horse racing being a weak sport for them. The other sports where they focus a lot of their in play sports betting is on various tennis markets and again they work to a margin here which is normally under 5%.

As we said, the main sport for SportPesa is very much football, They have sponsorship ties with some very big clubs including: Everton F.C. in the premier league and Torino F.C. in the Italian leage.

Looking at the amount of markets. It is usual to find 100 plus different markets on the larger leagues and games, but there is also a good coverage on a lot of minor leagues. You can bet on 122 different leagues across the world.

One thing that is really good with SportPesa is that they have games and markets priced up with odds two weeks in advance, so it gives you a chance to place accumulator or combo bets over two different weeks of football. This gives football punters a great way of placing multi selection bets and combo bets as well.

The In-play and Live interface is probably one of the best parts of the site. The layout contains “Big” and “Bold” text so you can easily find your favoured event and prices and odds are clear as well as current scores.

It is also easy with just a single click to reach all markets for a game or event. Once you click for all markets then the page changes layout and has your list of live events in the left hand column with all the markets from your selected event now clearly laid out in the middle column.

A really good live interface and their fast markets are very good with lots of “next minute” action.

Bonuses and promotions are weak on SportPesa with only the basic sign up offer which is Bet £10 Get £10 and they also provide “Best Odds Guaranteed” on the UK and Irish horse racing markets.

The good thing about the welcome bonus is that it does not have such stringent wagering requirements like some other bookmakers bonus offers.

There are no play through requirements. You can only use the bonus on a single or single line combo bet. Odds must be 1.8 or higher and your initial qualifying bet and use of the £10 bet token must be within 5 days.

Reasonably OK response times which were less than a minute and the operator was both knowledgeable and courteous and seemed very knowledgeable. We made the point about the left menu and the response was that it would be passed to their development team. It was nice to see a technical questionbeing dealt with in the correct way.
