Very strange, opened an account a few weeks back but struggled to verify as no appropriate utility docs. Verified Sat on obtaining bill. Had beginners luck all good made a few £200 ish withdrawals all in good time. Had a few quid on a shortie today went to login account closed. Absolutely no idea why, Can’t be because I won a few quid early doors as exchange. Total mystery, bit frustrating to be bailed when Cheltenham round corner which is my reason for opening. A professional response as to why would have been nice as I am not aware of anything I could have done in approximately 10 bets placed.

Do not bet with this company! They offer you 200 spins to sign up. What they don’t tell you is you need to turn over £2000 before you can even withdraw anything you win. Disgusting and Scammy. Matchbook have just closed my account two weeks before Cheltenham without any warning whatsoever . What a way to treat a loyal customer now they’re ignoring my emails after telling me they won’t tell me why they’re closed my account. Seems like they’re on some kind of cull. I haven’t done a thing wrong eitherI’ll be contacting the Gambling commission first things about this. Unacceptable behaviour.

Due diligence emailed me asking about my level of play and if it was okay. I replied yes, it was all fine, and then the next day they closed my account anyway and wouldn’t tell me why. What’s the point in asking me questions when you’ve already made your mind up? They even demanded to know what my strategy for placing bets was. What a pathetic, embarrassing, do-gooding, interfering busy body bunch of faceless goons the diligence team are. These people have no knowledge of betting, its just a dept for interfering in people’s personal business. Let’s be honest now, Matchbook is an utter joke. There are errors on the app every day, errors with the games, errors with the pictures, and errors with the odds, none of which get resolved. “Clear the cache” is not troubleshooting. If you dare place to actually place a bet you’ll be  spammed with incessant emails about ‘responsible gambling’ treating you like you’re a child I’m amazed so many people see fit to rate them so highly. Lol at 5 stars below because X person helped them change a password. I’m sure that’s worth They’re just the Temu version of Betfair

No in play betting on there place market in the big races on the TV. That’s unacceptable to be honest even SBK do that. I asked customer service why and they said there’s no market for in play betting. I said that’s what I said your just repeating my question and not answering me. How can an exchange not bet in play? I’ve never encountered a website that has so many issues. Which is never their fault and is not good enough especially on a Saturday . Today’s issue is getting logged out which can be added to all the issues that I getCustomer Service isn’t there to help they’re there just to fob you off. They have no interest in helping. Replies are very fast but three weeks on my initial problem nothing has been resolved apart from being told to clear my cache. Staff refuse to take any blame for the app problems and just blame meYou can’t bet multiples. Selection is unavailable if you try and get a soccer treble on.Withdrawals are very fast but if you bet more than twenty on an event you’ll get an email about responsible gambling the next morning telling you you’ve increased your betting and here are some tools to help. I really don’t need that every day.Rating 2.

Every time I deposit and bet regardless of if I win or lose the following day I get an email about safer gambling. Asking me if I’m aware my gambling has increased. Been with Matchbook three months and virtually every single time I log in there’s an issue with the app. Live video issues, odds issues or suchlike and it never gets resolved All I get from the team is have you tried to clear the cache and then we’ll escalate it to get it un(resolved)It’s on par with the SBK Smarkets app when it comes to inaccessibility I’m a patient chap but I’ve now had enough of this especially on the weekend and I’ve uninstalled

I am writing this upon receiving an email from Trustpilot following an interaction with Matchbook’s ‘Live Chat’ support.I was contacting them because the £10 free bet I received as part of a very generous horse racing offer had been removed from my account a few hours prior to the stated 7-day expiry.A Matchbook employee (Finn) joined the chat promptly and restored the free bet almost immediately without any quibbling. It was a really polite and helpful interaction which I must say contrasted refreshingly with support experiences with some online bookmakers and swiftly resulted in the desired (and correct) outcome.In general I think Matchbook is really great and would recommend it unreservedly.

You didn’t even have the common courtesy to reach out to me and see what was wrong you just went running to Trustpilot to get it taken offline. They have an over zealous compliance team who make it their business to interfere at every single juncture imaginable. These guys just won’t leave you alone. After a week of compliance reviews and a request for every document under the sun they gave me a paltry 2.5k net limit per month (my income is >500k). This makes laying bets a non starter. After the compliance review to determine my deposits I thought we were done. But no. After 8 days of back and forth I was then told now the KYC team need to start their own review. This couldn’t be done at the same time of course. I was told to contact them once that is done. Finally that completes (no one there bothers to tell you this) I deposit 1500 and withdraw 2300. I get an email the next day saying the account is locked now for 24 hours because we implement a 24 hr 1500 deposit limit. A new rule which no one thought to mention. There are so many rules I cant keep up and told them to close my account. I will message the ceo at some point if he/she is even bothered but I suspect not. The problem is these compliance departments have no clue what they are doing or what the regulations are. When that happens they just keep asking for more stuff and doing more work and implementing random rules. All because they are scared stiff of getting a fine. Anyway I’ve given up. They don’t want you to bet so best to find another pastime.

I tried to recover my old account, but, after sending my new documents, they told me they don’t match with their rules. My passport and address on my HSBC was accepted by everyone except MatchBook. I am wondering, if the reason is my new Vietnamese address. I have been living in Vietnam for 5 years, and it’s not the first time that some European Company doubts my identity. Maybe not, and the employees are old foxes, when it comes to documents. To me, they look biased, maybe someone has never travelled outside the UK. Moreover, they asked me for some evidence of income to prove my money. I mean how much could I deposit? I guess no more than 1k, It’s a bookmaker, do I need to prove even $100 for a bet? I experienced something like this, they asked me for my passport when I was buying a charge for my phone. The country where I experienced it is Cuba, not really a free country. I hope it will be better in the future.

I opened my account a few months ago. Have deposited a couple of times. It was only when I wanted to make a withdrawal they asked for ID, selfies, address documents. I did pass verification as I’ve nothing to hide but I don’t appreciate when bookmakers do this and I really did NOT expect that horrible behaviour from a betting exchange.The gambling commission are quite clear that companies shouldn’t do this at the point of withdrawal.

Been a matchbook customer for over 8 years with a net deposit of nearly £80,000. I have had some good days with matchbook and always reinvest any winnings I may make.Recently their compliance team reviewed my income which has been regular income and reduced my 30 day rolling loss limit by 75% which I appealed with no avail. This is only going to make it harder for me to gain the experience I had of making a decent sum with the lower limit. I am constantly reminded about safer gambling, I chose matchbook because I find this the safest option, yet with the lower limits I will have to go to an uncomfortable environment with the remaining allowed betting funds I have available and wait 30 days before I can play again with matchbook once my limit has been reached. Safer gambling works both ways.

Deposited £35 my first time using the site, and withdrew £216 (so I thought) within an hour of withdrawal my account was closed and I was told I needed to provide ID Verification which I wasn’t fussed with, I have proceeded to send over my documents and was told I’d get a response within 72 hrs. It has been 4 days now and not 1 email back. Just hoping I’d see the money as it’s close to Xmas :/

Laugh out loud at a page full of invited five star reviews shows how easily pleased simpletons are. If you want your password recovered they might be fine but anything slightly more complicated and then you’re in a mess. You’re dealing with uneducated reps who are unhelpful and stubborn. They say they’ll get back in touch but never do.
