Matchbook Review

Opposed to some other sites I find Matchbook quick and easy to navigate.No real problems getting matched. The only drawback lack of streaming for all sports, otherwise a good experience.

Trash websites, it doesn’t even let you bet. I was trying place some lay bets but it didn’t let me and they also lied about their promotions. do yourself a favour and avoid this scam website.

I have been with Matchbook for a couple of years with a deposit limit set at £500 per month. I asked for this to be increased to £1000 per month through their customer support chat. Matchbook set a 24 hour cooling off period and ask you to contact chat again to confirm after the 24 hours have expired. In the meantime I received an email from the compliance team asking for my last three pay slips and a bank statement showing deposits into matchbook and deposits of my salary. Given the fact I had already supplied this information when i set the account up it seems ridiclous to request such personal data for a £500 increase. Its a joke and and unwarranted intrusion that Matchbook can play god and judge who and what you can do with your own money.

Crap customer service and long winded verification process then after close your account. Their due diligence team don’t know what they are doing who take ages to respond. Betting exchange that restrict and close people’s account what a joke bunch of clowns

A/C closed with no apparent reason.I am baffled as to why my account has suddenly been closed, all Live Chat do is refer me to the ‘business decision’ stated on the email. No response to emails to Complience + Security at Matchbook.

Well u told me my account would be locked for 24 hours after wanting to block virtual sports and casino and still waiting to get into my account nearly 2 days on and when asking to block virtuals and casino u was still allowing me to bet on them thats not safer gambling or doing what the customer asked for should be able to block it there and then and not have your account blocked for nearly 2 days why u do the process

Absolutely shocking bookmaker asked for payslips p60 utility bill driving licence betting history then just closed my account had to go on live chat to get the rest of MY money wouldn’t recommend

A very small offer of matches (mainly the live ones), some less understandable or downright unfair rules (e.g. when player retiring in tennis) and absolutely no bonus offer/promotions for existing (and money-spending) players.

Joined Matchbook recently and I have to say they are far superior to the competition in terms of customer service and easy to use website. Lots of sports markets to choose from and also very simple to deposit with very fast withdrawals. Excellent exchange

Don’t waste your time here. I submitted my documents, days later after the biggest betting event of the year has passed IE Cheltenham Festival, I’m still awaiting verification. App deleted, won’t be bothering again. Thanks but definitely no thanks. Others have much more appeal.

Rubbish company offered a fake promotion that they never granted. Then an idiot named Gary did nothing but be smug about it. Lost 300 to false advertising

Worse frauds EVER, the promotion to start of is fake, i screen shotted every conversation i had, because of reviews i read here first, tried to cheat me out of promotion deal, saying i didnt qualify, even though i was told i qualified before the bet was confirmed a winner or loser. Then offered a free bet to keep me quite, couldnt even use this bet at all. And they refused to cancel my account. BECARFUL WITH TGIS COMPANY.

They have a dedicated team who supports users wanting to interact with their API. Their API docs are a good starter – you will likely need some help but there are that many coding languages you could create a site for each one so it’s a beginners guide. Would recommend to any user looking to use API because there is always someone to answer a query.

Customer of 5 years who had account frozen day before Cheltenham Festival. What a truly great day to pick!! Now they are withholding my money and will not provide a statement of acitivty. Always liked the platform but recent outages particularly on Saturdays have left me exposed with unmatched bets

Very easy to use platform, and great odds of course as I’d expect from an exchange. Competitive across all markets and typically blows other exchanges out of the water on US Sports. Customer service is also extremely friendly and helpful, any issue I’ve had has been dealt with quickly and easily, highly recommend!

Having some knowledge of matchbook’s propensity to ignore the rules, it’s a bit rich for matchbook to lock people out of their accounts for refusing to submit financial information which Banks and HMRC advise against divulging. If Paul G flags this review as well because the truth hurts so much, I will remind everyone of the fines and suspension imposed on matchbook by the Gambling Commission.

An absolute pleasure to have a betting operator who puts customer issues first …there customer help desk is fabulous…everything resolved quick …unlike the other 2 match betting operators who have lost me for good….I can see match book taking a lot of customers from betdaq and betfair….plenty liquidity in markets and never had any issues betting or laying

Matchbook can’t take criticism. Not only are Matchbook terrified of their regulators, they are now running scared of anyone who is critical of them. They have now resorted to flagging unfavourable reviews on Trustpilot and having them removed.

I have used this site for a long period, have always found the functionality of both the main site and app really good and comparative to Smarkets in relation to market availability, settlements, funds clearance etc.However I have recently had the account limited to a derisory cap, from what was a previously agreed and sensible level, making it practically unusable. When questioned I was told it was related to KYC and was asked to provide a variety of documents yet again. this is despite providing all the relevant documents once upon signing up, and then once again later in my usage of the account, now they need access to all accounts, payslips etc. yet again.Effectively with the continued requests for personal data, the company are requesting real-time continuous access to every aspect of my financial life. This is far beyond the requirements of any bookmaking site, or indeed any financial institution I have ever dealt with, even when investing significant sums.
