Wish I could give no stars…disgusting company ..who has the time to read 1million terms and conditions they've set up to get out of every scenario..i opened up an account with a 10 pound to get 40 pound free bets..at odds over even…I done this….and never received my free bonuses..when I eventually got through to live chat.. This company cares about one thing and one thing only, your money, or should I say, their money. Because that is exactly what it becomes as soon as you press that deposit button, there are much more fairer betting companies out that to choose from that will actually pay you out from time to time. This sorry excuse of a company does not deserve to have a gambling license, because gambling would imply that you have a chance of winning, which you never do with Betfred, and I hope that everyone thinking about setting up an account with them reads this review before they do so. Their customer service has been absolutely dreadful recently. Consistently failing to provide free bets on time, then waiting hours in a live chat queue to claim the free bets. The live chat agents then are unwilling to credit the free bets owed, with escalation to management required to obtain the free bets.

The agents are extremely rude and provide incredibly poor service. They suddenly end chats without asking if I'm finished. One agent accused me of using the health condition of Eriksen to claim my free bet! I was shocked.

To top it off, I've requested compensation or free bets as an apology for the terrible service and have been declined consistently. Awful.

Wish I could share screenshots here. These guys are so dirty. They have a money back as a free bet offer if you bet on a pick your punt (bet builder). Literally every price is reduced when you add it to your slip. For example, Croatia + the draw double chance is 6/4. As soon as you add it to your slip it goes down to 6/5. This is a scam. Even the draw is 11/4 but when you add it to your slip it goes down to 12/5!!! This is to recoup the free bets they have to pay out no doubt. Never seen such a scam in my life! I contacted support who I had to explain pick a punt to when it's their site!!! Then I got the excuse that it's a price change. No it's not, a price change would mean some markets go down and some go up, not all down!!

over a year ago i opened a betfred account , due to shops shut .then after a month i excluded myself for 5 years , within a year ive moved property , my dad passed away , started using my business email address and of course covid , couple of months ago i opened a betfred account which i forgot i excluded myself , put in my new email , home address and deposited 100 , all went fine placed 2 bets came to 25 , next thing i was blocked . they wont give me my money back , they wont let me have a bet in other words they said tuff betfred are keeping the money and will never give it back , its causing me so much stress and i will be contacting ibas, they are a bunch of thieves

The fact you have minimum stakes is bullying customers into spending more than they would like to. Extremely wrong of you to have a minimum stake for bets.

Would also advise people not to play the slots as there was someone who won over 1 million and BetFred refused to pay out saying that there was an error with the slot. So the slots must have errors when people lose then surely? And customers should get their money back if the slots are faulty?

They also sent me an email for one of their promotions and when I opted in to it and placed a qualifying bet, they didn’t give me the free bet like they should have. When I questioned customer services about this they refused the free bet and wouldn’t give me a valid reason as to why they were refusing it.

Never climb above my original deposit and always float on minor winnings when it’s running out. I can only speak from personal experience… been using Betfred for 3 months and so far so good.

A lot of the negative reviews i see are complaining about the casino, the casino is something i have never used so i can’t say much but if you’re someone like me who likes to bet on the football or the darts or the horses etc then Betfred is perfectly good for that, Odds are good and payouts reach your bank within 24 hours and have never had a single issue receiving funds

Total waste of time. Dodgy app, freezes and crashes on features so you win nothing, no problems with the game on their end though so no sorry no refund, just blatantly rip you off. 100s wasted over past few weeks, not a decent win to keep playing, or top the bank up.
