Manchester City hosts Fulham in the fourth round of the FA Cup with both teams are at the top of their leagues and coming off of 1-1 draws. City and Southampton drew, while Fulham and Blackpool drew. With the draw, the home team’s 12-match winning streak came to an end, in the previous round, City defeated League Two side Swindon 4-1 on the road. Fulham are currently soaring high in the Championship and appear to be on track to return to the Premier League at the first attempt. They lead the table by five points and have a game in hand on second-placed Blackburn Rovers. They haven’t lost in six games and their last defeat came against Sheffield United in December. In the previous round, they defeated fellow Championship side Bristol City 2-1. Fulham has a dismal recent FA Cup record, having lost six of their last seven fourth round matches. They had proceeded in all ten of their previous fourth-round ties before this run.
