Deposit & Withdrawals

Placing bookmakers with cashout into your Betway account and withdrawing from it, can be done through Visa or Visa Electron, Maestro or Mastercard, but using Visa or MasterCard to make a deposit will incur a 1.5% fee. Betting limits

The betting markets offered are: tennis, baseball, soccer, basketball, horse racing, ice hockey, snooker, cricket, golf betting, rugby union and rugby league, darts, boxing, UFC/MMA, e-sports betting, motor sports, volleyball, handball, greyhounds, table tennis, Gaelic sports, American soccer, Aussie rules, cycling, politics and pool, plus specials. In terms of selection of bets, there’s plenty to stake your cash on – take the Premier League for example, you can play in over 100 different markets throughout the season.   There is however a cap on the amount of cash that you can win at Betway. It’s topped at $500,000 for soccer grade 1, which includes the Premier League and international fixtures. Soccer grade 2’s upper limit is set at $25,000 and relates to competitions such as Spain’s Segunda and the second tier of Germany’s Bundesliga, and a $250,000 cap on horse racing, $100,000 on Irish horse racing and $50,000 on all other horse racing. Betway has a strong live and in play betting offer with numerous markets to bet on. They also accept the standard bet types like singles, multiples and combination bets.

Sport coverage

Betway currently offer 33 different sports to wager on. They have a strong focus on soccer and horse racing as they are involved in these sports from a sponsorship perspective.

In-play experience

Customers can indulge in live betting (soccer, tennis, baseball and basketball betting) with a cash out facility which enables you to cash in your bet during the event or before the result has been settled. The landing page details where you can get access to the live bets section, but the range on offer doesn’t match some of their competitors.

Live streaming

Betway does offer some live streaming of action, however. Your account has to be in credit but you’ll be able to see Bundesliga soccer, Russian ice hockey, ATP Tour tennis, Euro Volleyball and Russian Premier League soccer.  

A very nice interface with exceptionally quick loading times. The concept of the home page is to provide everything and make it easy to find at a single glance.

The colour scheme worksd really well with a black and grey background section and white and green text and boxes being used to highlight the headings on different sections, as well as using this on prices for various sports.

The right sidebar is quite unique as it offers a range of suggested bets and one of these is the “Acca Attack” acca insurance which we explain in detail further down this page.

The site has a top menu with all of the Betway products and the top header section contains links to odds selection, support and language selection. As well these three elements you have your fields to login. All of this is nicely laid out in the top header section making it easy to get to at any
time.

As with a lot of sportsbooks, you have an A-Z sports menu selector on the left. The middle section of the page is the main area and here you will find the latest In-play and upcoming events. The default view is for Soccer but you can change this quickly by using a horizontal arrow scroll which allows you to view your preferred sport very quickly.

The overall betting margin is a littel dissappointing at 5.2% but lets take a look at the breakdown. With an average margin of 4.9%, Betway are in the middle tier when it comes to value on soccer odds. Tennis is very weak at 6.5 % whilst American Soccer has one of the best betting margins we have seen at just 3.7% (Many bookmakers reviewed over 4%)

Other American sports like baseball and basketball are on a par with other bookmakers, whilst Ice Hockey is the weakest part of their offer with some games having margins as high as 7.5%

Lots of markets on soccer. Many games now have the three way handicap offer where you are backing a team that are either giving a start or taking a start. This is really the same as a European handicap as it includes the draw unlike Asian Handicaps.

In many games on Betway you will see up to two hundred markets on mainstream soccer matches. But Betway are not only strong on soccer, they offer a very strong market coverage on tennis in particular with lots of fast market options including next game betting and next point betting. Some of their more interesting tennis markets include a bet which gives aprice to win two consecutive games, so a game with the serve and a game against the
serve, probably a bet which will appeal to real tennis geeks who followe stats closely.

Like the overall site Betway have an excellent live and In-play betting interface. It is really easy to find the sport, event and market you wish to place a bet on as again they use the horizontal slider element to make it easy to navigate. One very good feature is that they have a market search right inside the In-play section so you can find your market by keyword. This simple add on just makes the user experience even better.

Where it gets even better for In-play punters on Betway is with statistics. At the top of each event you have a superb stats and live data view which can be broken down into various sections which include:

For people who like to bet based on raw data, Betway are one of the best sites we have reviewed.

We mentioned at the beginning of our review about a bet called the “Acca Attack” and this is a bet based on stats which Betway show clearly. It is quite unique really in that they are putting together accumulator bets with all the research “done for you”

So as you can see from the above info, Betway are providing a bet with a range of short prices. It is up to you the punter to decide if this is value or not. The majority of these games are from less known leagues so this does provide potential betting opportunities.

But this is not all from Betway. They have a great free competition where you can win $25,000 by forecasting the first four teams to score from a selection of matches.

Lead At The Last – If you back a horse that leads at the last hurdle/fence and it gets beat. You get paid as a winner…..CRAZY.

Betway have a wide range of options avialable for depositing and withdrawing. You can deposit and withdraw using Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill and paysafecard.

Well we tested the customer support chat a couple of times and on both occasions it was very slow (took agents time to answer questions) and the lack of knowledge on some basic sports questions was a concern.

One agent did mention about a “slow system” but from the knowledge perspective on two simple sports questions, it seemed that the agents may need more training.

Of course this could just be an isolated incident so we will be re-testing this part of the site and service over the coming months and this section will be updated.
