West Ham United vs Manchester United

What a high pressure game this is going to be for Jose Mourinho with last weeks home draw against Wolves not going down too well. Add to that the fact that his relationship with Paul Pogba is back in the limelight and surely the United Hierarchy are getting just a little bit peeved at the whole Mourinho circus.

On the flip side we have a West Ham side that have all of a sudden chalked up a couple of great results (one in the league and one in the Carabao Cup) Those two results will have fueled the confidence of The Hammers and it is strange to see them priced up at 7/2

West Ham showed plenty of guts to lock Chelsea out and restrict them on Sunday, and that’ll encourage Manuel Pellegrini’s men.

The Hammers registered a solitary shot on target against Chelsea, and they will dig in again against United.

Coupled with this, this is not the flair Manchester United built under Sir Alex Ferguson and the likelihood is a low scoring affair or draw.

Arsenal vs Watford

A cracking contest in store here with high flying Watford visiting the Emirates in what promises to be a lively affair. The Gunners are going about there business quietly and have been racking up a decent set of results which has put them in the top 6 and not too far off the leaders.

The new manager seems to have bedded in really well and we don’t seem to see the same transfer saga stories relating to Mesut Ozil coming out of the club. Of course there is still a chance of Ozil moving on in the January window but for now The Gunners are moving along nicely.

Best Bet: With Watford showing no signs of easing up their solid start and Arsenal scoring freely but not looking too solid in defence then both teams to score looks a solid wager at 4/7 with Ladbrokes and Coral.

Everton vs Fulham

Everton have lost there last two games including a 3-1 reverse at home to West Ham and that does not bode well for a team who are up against a hungry Fulham side.

Fulham have performed very creditably so far this season and although leaking some goals, have the excellent Aleksandar Mitrovic chalking up regularly at the business end.

With that in mind Everton look really poor value at odds on and we will keep this simple from a betting perspective.

Best Bet: Fulham to win away from home at 18/5 with Unibet

Huddersfield Town vs Tottenham Hotspur

After a morale boosting 2-1 win over Brighton; Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino can get there season back on track as they visit bottom club Huddersfield with an opportunity to send the bottom side to a fifth defeat of the season.

The Terriers have looked really poor defensively this season: but only three goals scored and 14 conceded in six league matches tells us they also have problems at the top of the park and Spurs must have just too much quality for them.

The lack of goals in Wagner’s side is a major concern with Laurent Depoitre and Steve Mounie not strikers who will grab 10 – 15 league goals against top class opposition. However, it’s the amount of goals they will concede which will likely lead to relegation.

With no out-and-out reliable goalscorer, or any semblance of defensive discipline, We simply cannot see how the Terriers will avoid the drop this season.

Best Bet: This looks a good opportunity for Spurs who are 6/5 with a minus one goal start on the handicap. That looks good value with Paddy Power.

Manchester City vs Brighton and Hove Albion

City had a stroll last week when hammering Cardiff 5-0 away from home and it could be a tough afternoon for the Seagulls to even get a sniff of goal. City have continued that form with a 3-0 win away from home in The Carabao Cup and we have to try and find some value with the home side.

Brighton have played pretty well against the top sides so far this season: beating Manchester United, only losing 1-0 at Liverpool and falling 2-1 to Spurs at home.

However, Brighton’s away record against the top six last season: played six, lost six, tells the story.

City are a best priced 1/10 for the win and there will be many big stakes punters willing to get involved at those cramped odds.

Best Bet: Over 3.5 goals in the match at a general price of 4/5 but a best price of 21/25 with Marathon Bet.

Newcastle United vs Leicester City

This is a “must not lose” game for Rafa Benitez’s men. Once again we have another club that seems to be constantly in the limelight for the wrong reasons with the Chairman Mike Ashley still at the helm. News stories last week suggested he was ready to sell up at a lower price and it remains to be seen if he is still there come Christmas.

Any prospective new owner will want to have a big say in any January transfer dealings for sure.

Best Bet: This looks a tricky one to call but Jamie Vardy came up trumps for us last week and is 6/4 to score anytime but a very juicy 17/2 with Bet365 to score twice and that is the suggested bet in this game.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Southampton

After last week’s draw at Old Trafford Wolves have now not lost to both the Red and Blue sides of Manchester and there will not be many teams who will be able to say that at the end of the season. Mark Hughes is still struggling at Southampton and this one has a home win written all over it.

Best Bet: Wolves are odds on for the win but at 5/6 look a fair enough price with Betfair. But we cannot see another result and maybe it is better to look at the handicap with Wolves giving a one goal start which is available at 9/4 with Unibet.

Chelsea vs Liverpool

So the first real telling clash of the season see’s Sarri’s Chelsea go up against Klopp’s Liverpool in what is a rematch of the midweek Carabao Cup game which Chelsea won 2-1. Of course the league games are a totally different proposition, but with Eden Hazard bang on form, then Chelsea may just hold too many guns for the men from Merseyside.

Best Bet: With Eden Hazard proving hard to contain then an anytime scorer bet on the Belgian superstar looks great value at 15/8 with Betfred and Betway.
