Enticing odds for Romelu Lukaku to leave Man United this summer

8 July 2019

Big things were expected of Lukaku when the Man United hierarchy dug deep into their coffers to pay £70 million to secure his services. Mourinho was once again the culprit here.

In his first season, Lukaku performed fairly neither underwhelming nor being spectacular. A portable return of about 26 goals in the first season wasn’t outrightly disappointing. The malaise that drowned Man United and threw Mourinho out of the windows at Old Trafford also took his toll on Lukaku who terribly struggled for goals last season.

When Solksjaer arrived, he wasn’t particularly keen about Lukaku, with the burly Belgian the seeming hallmark of the failed Mourinho era. Ole seemed to spark Rashford who returned the new manager’s faith with goals thereby consigning Lukaku to the bench towards the end of the season.

The new season promises a huge overhaul for Man United with hefty rebuilding needed.  Lukaku has repeatedly voice his ambition of playing in the Seria A. Of late, he added more intensity to the rumors by hailing new inter Milan coach Antonio Conte as the best coach in the world. With the former Chelsea coach hoping to do away with the controversial Icardi, would Lukaku be heading out of Man United.
