AstroPay and UK betting in 2026
AstroPay is a digital wallet app. For UK users it was provided by Larstal Limited, an e-money firm authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. That has now changed: AstroPay's help centre says it is closing all Larstal UK accounts, with a target closure date of 9 October 2026, and is exiting the UK market with no replacement product. Since the closure process began in September 2026, top-ups and incoming transfers have been blocked. Withdrawals are still allowed, including after 9 October with help from AstroPay support, but any balance left in a closed UK account is charged a £20 idleness fee every 30 days. In practice, you can no longer fund a UK betting account with AstroPay, so this page no longer lists AstroPay bookmakers. If you still have a balance, withdraw it through the AstroPay app. Then pick another payment method from your bookmaker's cashier; operators licensed by the Gambling Commission cannot let you gamble with a credit card. Betting should be for fun and only with money you can afford to lose.
