After a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Tottenham on Saturday, West Ham regained their fighting spirit from last season. Slaven Bilic should be able to out-beat Liverpool without problems.
West Ham’s 3-4-1-2 formation means that Bilic’s lineup of five defenders will be drawn when the opponent squeezes. That should be enough for Liverpool not to score (only three times in the last four games). Clyne will join the attack steadily, as did Tottenham’s Kyle Walker last week. Long balls to Calleri could create very good goal situations for the home team.
Jordan Ayew successfully attacked Spurs on the right wing, and that meant Calleri was able to sprint without being detected by the other side. Lucas Leiva will have to try to cover the holes left by his teammates, but even if he does, it is not likely that Liverpool will disturb Adrian.
