Probably the most interesting match of the Round of 16 at Wimbledon tournament is going to be the clash between Rafael Nadal and Gilles Muller. The veterans of this sport will, without a doubt, provide a great spectacle at this stage of the tournament. The interesting thing for all of you fun fact lovers, is that both Muller and Nadal are left-handed. Therefore we might say that this encounter could be called a South Pole derby.
Nadal is an absolute favourite at this point, and this is a fact. But we have to add that his opponent already defeated him once here at All England Club. Of course, that happened many years ago. Nevertheless, Wimbledon is a place where miracles happen often, and we have to bear that in mind.
Rafael Nadal Preview
Rafa is coming into this match after 10 straight victories. He didn’t want to participate in any tournament after winning the Roland Garros, and so far, his decision makes sense. He was extremely confident in all three matches so far here and didn’t lose a single set. The noticeable thing in his game is a fantastic movement on the grass, which is something that he hadn’t show in the previous years. It explicitly dismisses all the speculations that his knees are in bad shape for fast turfs.
Gilles Muller Preview
Despite the fact that he has 34 years, the 26th player in the ATP rankings is performing his best tennis in career so far. He won 2 titles since the beginning of 2017 at Sydney and couple of weeks ago at s-Hertogenbosch. These two pieces of silverware are his biggest achievements in career. After the winning of title in Netherlands, he lost in the semi-finals of Queens against Marin Cilic, but overall the Luxembourg player is having the best time since he joined the Tour. He only had trouble against Lucas Rosol here, in the second round and after 3 hours and 40 minutes he managed to eliminate the Czech tennis player with 3-2( 9-7 in the last set). Other two matches against Bedene and Fucsovics, were easy for him, 3-0.

Rafael Nadal vs Gilles Muller Prediction
We already said at the start of this article, Rafael Nadal is a heavy favorite. His recent form is backing this claim, and simply the Spaniard is performing above all expectations. He had some troubles against Muller here at Wimbledon, but that happened over a decade ago. On the other hand, the veteran from Luxembourg is in good shape. Still, we do not think that he will present a significant threat to the Roland Garros winner. However, we believe that he will snap, one set from Nadal and Bet365 offers a wonderful odds on this.
